Julio Iglesias returns to Romania to perform three concerts
The performances are part of a great tour that celebrates the anniversary of the 40th year in the artist’s career.

Julio Iglesias returns to Romania in order to perform a series of three concerts in July, in the cities Brasov, Cluj-Napoca and Constanta, the official website of the artist announces. Therefore, the concert in Brasov is scheduled on July 14, in Piata Sfatului, located in the centre of the city, the performance from Cluj Napoca will take place on July 16, on the Stadium, and the concert in Constanta is announced for July 19, in the port.The Romanian mini-tour is part of the international tour “Julio Iglesias in Concert – 2008,” that started in January, in South Africa, continued in Columbia, Venezuela, Argentina and Uruguay, in Brazil during March, and now, in April, includes a great tour in the United States. “Julio Iglesias in Concert 2008” is an anniversary tour that celebrates 40 years of Julio’s music career.“Julio Iglesias is delighted to return to Brasov during this anniversary tour, due to the fact that this is the city where he attended his first international festival, in 1969. Actually the anniversary of the Golden Stag’s 40th edition coincides with the anniversary of the 40th year in Julio’s career”, the artist’s assistant Gabriela Ristea declared for Nine O’ Clock. Julio Iglesias, the best-sold Spanish singer, previously performed a Romanian tour in April 2007, including several cities such as Timisoara, Sibiu, Constanta and Bucharest.In 1999, Julio Iglesias had also performed in Bucharest, on the “Cotroceni” Stadium. The artist had visited Romania for the first time in 1969, when he attended the “Golden Stag” Festival.Julio Iglesias had sold over 250 million copies of his albums worldwide, in several languages, and performed over 5,000 concerts throughout his career.
