Concert Review- Almonte, Spain

Completely full house for the concert of Julio Iglesias in El Rocío A full Rocío Arena - with a capacity for 8,000 people - surrendered last night to the singer Julio Iglesias, who chose the village of El Rocío, in Almonte (Huelva), to begin the tour that will take him to several Spanish cities before traveling to Israel in September.

People from different parts of Spain and from countries like neighboring Portugal did not want to miss the first chance to see the singer in a Spanish concert, which began around 10 pm and lasted past midnight. In the show, included in his tour "Julio Iglesias in concert," the artist sang many of the classics of his entire career such as "Manuela," "Quijote," "Me olvide de vivir," "Hey!" "Abrazame," "El amor," "Un canto a Galicia" and many more songs representative of his international career.

On this occasion, the special voice of this international artist joined in solidarity, as Julio Iglesias wanted to add to the charitable cause promoted by the Brotherhood Matrix of Rocío of Almonte and all of its subsidiaries to build an orphanage for sixty children in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which will be named “Virgin of Rocío, Mother of Mercy.” Thus, to the revenue obtained from the sale of the tickets, has been added the fee of the artist, who on learning of the charitable cause, decided to perform selflessly, without charging, for his performance.

After performing in El Rocío, Julio Iglesias will be in Girona on August 13th and 14th, in Valencia on the 18th, and in Castellon de la Plana on the 21st, before the two concerts of the 8th and 10th of September in Israel, and the planned concerts in November in the Dominican Republic.
The performance of Julio Iglesias is part of the Virgin of Rocío of Almonte Festival promoted by the Brotherhood Matrix of Almonte to defray the costs of constructing the orphanage.
